Contract C# Developer

Description:

Hawksworth UK is seeking a Contract C# Developer for a 6-month assignment within an Electronic FX Algo Team in London. The role falls Inside IR35, offering an attractive £840 per day.

As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for developing UI components that align with the strategic goals of the eFX business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C# development and a deep understanding of FX trading systems. Experience with Java is desirable but not mandatory.

You will contribute to both strategic development and the technical direction of the team, working in a fast-paced Front Office trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance WPF C# Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) for eFX trading systems.
• Collaborate with traders and technologists to optimize speed and workflow.
• Ensure high-quality, efficient, and scalable software solutions.
• Work within an Agile environment, following best software delivery methodologies.
• Influence the technical direction of the eFX Algo Team.

Required Skills & Experience:

✔ Extensive experience in WPF C# development, specifically in Front Office trading environments.
✔ Strong understanding of FX trading systems, including Spot, Swaps, and Outrights pricing.
✔ Ability to develop UI components that enhance trading performance.
✔ Knowledge of software delivery processes and Agile methodologies.
✔ Experience optimizing speed and workflow in high-frequency trading environments.
✔ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
✔ Familiarity with Red Hat Linux (desirable).
✔ Automated testing experience (desirable).
