Contracts Manager

 

Description:

Our Contracting South business unit is going from strength to strength with recent successes in the Midlands and Bristol on the council’s highways frameworks. As a result of growing demand, we’re looking for a Contracts Manager to manage current highways and civils contracts in the midlands region. It’s important that the successful candidate is commutable to Birmingham, is flexible to commute to other locations around the midlands when required and has a relevant contract management background in highways/civils construction management.

 

Main Responsibilities:

The Contracts Manager will be the primary client contact from start to finish on all projects as well as developing new business opportunities. Overseeing and encouraging compliance with all quality procedures and safe working practices, ensuring all works are delivered to the highest possible Health, Safety and Environmental standards. Throughout all contracts, the Contracts Manager will be accountable for, the delivery of the service and client value, ensuring that highways activities are fully integrated and working in partnership to achieve stakeholder goals, objectives, targets and desired outcomes. Leading the regional operations ensuring consistent high standards, continuous improvement and ensuring compliance.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will have significant experience working in a similar leadership role, with a strong background in highways. You will have a high level of experience in contract management, highway construction and maintenance with strong relationship/stakeholder management skills. You’ll be comfortable managing budgets and delegating tasks to ensure the successful delivery of our clients projects.
