Corporate Banking Manager

Description:

Handelsbanken is seeking a Corporate Banking Manager to join their Bolton & Wigan branch. The role involves maintaining and developing a portfolio of corporate customers, driving business growth, and ensuring clients receive an exceptional level of service. The post holder will be responsible for credit applications, balance sheet analysis, annual reviews, covenant compliance, profitability, and ensuring clients understand the Bank’s services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow a corporate customer portfolio, building strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Identify and win new clients through proactive business development activities and networking events.

• Prepare credit applications, conduct annual reviews, and evaluate financial information to assess risk and structure transactions.

• Maintain knowledge of the local market and competitor products, and establish relationships with professional firms and introducers.

• Ensure compliance with legal documentation, KYC/AML reviews, lending facilities, and securities.

• Communicate Handelsbanken products and services effectively to meet customer needs.

Requirements / Ideal Candidate:

• Demonstrable experience in corporate relationship and portfolio management.

• Understanding of the Bank’s Credit Policy and processes, as well as corporate products.

• Strong business development capabilities and ownership of portfolio performance.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

• Team player with flexibility, proactivity, and a positive attitude.

• Ability to work under pressure with integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.

• Previous experience with lending documentation/security and AML/KYC procedures is advantageous.

• High level of computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
