Cover Supervisor

Humly North East are working in partnership with Secondary Schools across Gateshead who are seeking cover supervisors/unqualified teachers, to support on both day- to- day and on a long term basis.

As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for managing a class of students across KS3, KS4 KS5,carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are on short-term absence.Although you will not be actively teaching it is important that Cover Supervisors have the relevant skills and confidence needed to keep the class motivated and focused.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Basic understanding of the national Key Stage Curriculum
• Knowledge of child development and learning
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to cover a wide range of lessons
• Confidence to manage a class of mixed ability pupils
