Creative Events Production Intern

Fairholme Studio is looking for a highly-organised intern to join the team, supporting with delivering exciting events and campaigns for a diverse mix of clients across the beauty, lifestyle, retail and fashion industries. You will work closely with the project management team as well as our current Assistant and Project Coordinator.

We would like to hear from candidates who have some knowledge and understanding of brand campaigns, events and PR with well-rounded communications skills and exceptional organisational and research abilities. Candidates should have a desire to learn, be a dab hand at managing deadlines and be able to help with whatever is needed to support the team and contribute to the success of the studio’s projects.

About us:

Creative Director and Founder of Fairholme Studio, Tony Jack started his career at Estée Lauder Companies working in the PR team at Smashbox Cosmetics and Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. Over his 5 year stint at the beauty giant, Tony worked on the UK and Ireland communications as well as events for press, influencers and consumers. Tony also worked closely with Bobbi herself on a number of projects, and worked at Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle PR agency; Aisle 8, where he headed up the events and special projects division. He then worked for two leading events agencies in London to gain further experience within production and creative, before setting up his own agency. Tony now owns and runs Fairholme Studio Ltd, a creative agency specialising in events, consultancy, visual merchandising, campaigns, creative mailers and more. Fairholme Studio has worked on over 250 projects within the past two years, including clients such as: RARE Beauty, SPACE NK, Stella McArtney, L'Oreal Professionnel, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, Maybelline, KIKO, Dr. Jart+, Kiehl's, NIP + FAB, Missoma and many more. Alongside this, Tony Jack owns a candle line sold exclusively in Liberty London.

What you'll do:

• Be organised and proactive, you’ll liaise and receive tasks from the Creative Director and Project Managers. You’ll be a multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively
• Project support: Completing tasks set by project managers and using your problem solving skills to ensure events, mailers and campaigns run smoothly
• Events support: You’ll help to research, source, negotiate and purchase events items as well as organising couriers, picking up items, booking couriers and completing returns and refunds when needed. With a keen eye for detail you’ll support the project teams to deliver impactful events and consumer campaigns
• On site creative events: You’ll support the project delivery team in the lead up, launch, de-rig post-production and administration of client events. You'll be flexible and adaptable to ensure the project/event delivers on time and to budget
• Research: from time to time you may help to research and compile material for written proposals and presentation decks
• Office support: You will be responsible for maintaining our Vauxhall office by completing admin tasks, tidying the office, keeping admin databases up to date and coordinating deliveries and returns.

Person specification:

• University degree or training in events or equivalent
• Organised and proactive: can multi-task, with ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
• Communicate confidently: good writing skills
• Enjoys working collaboratively in a team
• Are passionate about delivering standout events and campaigns
• Can identify and hunt down sourced items and opportunities
• Are on the front foot when it comes to emerging industry trends

You will have:

• Experience and a passion for managing events and creative projects (an interest in beauty, luxury and lifestyle brands)
• An interest in creative events, PR and production
• Technical skills including Google Drive, IOS and project management tools such as Monday.com; our resource and project management tool
• An understanding of design and production processes
• A desire to keep learning and develop new skills in the events industry
• A keen eye for upcoming trends within the beauty, lifestyle and fashion industry
