Customer Assistant

Description:

Morrisons, one of the UK’s largest supermarket chains, is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join their Market Street and Café team in Tewkesbury. As a Customer Assistant, you will play an important role in preparing and serving fresh, high-quality food, while ensuring every customer has a pleasant and memorable shopping experience.

This role involves a mix of responsibilities, from serving meals in the café to preparing pizzas, fresh fish, or meat at Market Street counters. You will also be trained in other areas of the store, such as replenishment and customer service, making flexibility and teamwork vital. The environment is structured and fast-paced, with set routines and timed activities designed to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and serving fresh food in the Café and Market Street counters.

• Delivering excellent customer service with a friendly and helpful approach.

• Following health, safety, and food preparation processes.

• Assisting across different store areas including Replenishment and Customer Service.

• Supporting customers by resolving queries and ensuring they find what they need.

• Working as part of a flexible and collaborative team.

Requirements:

• Must be above school leaver’s age (18+ for some roles due to health and safety).

• Friendly, helpful, and approachable personality.

• Enjoys being active and hands-on in a busy environment.

• Comfortable working within structured processes and routines.

• Passionate about customer service and teamwork.
