Customer Service Administrator

 

Description:

You will be patient focused with a desire to deliver the highest levels of customer service. This role is ideal for someone who has worked front of house in a high-end hospitality or retail environment. Experience in a health care setting is advantageous but not essential.

This a bank role and is therefore a zero hours contract working flexibly to cover holiday, absence and fluctuating hospital volumes. The department operating hours are 06.30 – 20.30 Monday to Sunday. Shifts are likely to be 06.30 – 14.30, 08.00 – 16.00, 12.30 – 20.30.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Welcome all patients, visitors, consultants and staff to KIMS and provide direction to the hospital departments when required
  • Face to face and telephone liaison with patients and consultants providing information where requested and making appointments
  • Management of patient appointments and records liaising with patients and hospital staff as required
  • Ensure that a prompt, accurate and proficient administration service is provided to all departments within the hospital
  • Be aware of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with patients, visitors, consultants and staff

Person Specification:

A Customer Service Administrator will:

  • Be educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent)
  • Have a proven experience in a customer service role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Able to work proactively, on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Have strong IT skills including Microsoft Office packages and customer management databases
