Description:

DCS Technology is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join their team in Crewe, UK. This hybrid role offers an excellent opportunity for a cybersecurity professional to take a lead position in safeguarding systems, networks, and sensitive data against evolving cyber threats.

The successful candidate will be at the forefront of threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management, playing a crucial role in driving continuous improvements across the organization’s overall security posture. This position also provides a chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams in infrastructure, software development, and compliance to ensure adherence to top-tier security frameworks like ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management operations across systems and networks.

  • Drive improvements in the organization’s cyber security posture, covering infrastructure, cloud, and application environments.

  • Provide expert input to development teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.

  • Maintain compliance and documentation in accordance with ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus standards.

  • Act as a mentor and subject matter expert for junior analysts, supporting their professional growth.

  • Support the design and refinement of Security Operations Center (SOC) processes and tools to improve efficiency and response capabilities.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong technical expertise in cyber security operations, including system, network, and application defense.

  • Proven hands-on experience with EDR/NDR tools, particularly CrowdStrike.

  • Solid background in cloud security (especially AWS) and infrastructure protection.

  • Proficiency in Linux systems and knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Apache, and PHP.

  • Familiarity with major cybersecurity frameworks, particularly ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to react swiftly and efficiently to incidents.

  • Ability to mentor and guide team members while fostering a culture of collaboration and security awareness.
