Cyber Security Engineer

La Fosse Associates are working with an education company who are looking to add a Cyber Security Engineer to their growing Security team.

You will have direct line to the head of Security and the opportunity to be extremely hands on within your position.

This individual will play a key role in the cyber security team working directly on the organisation's cloud infrastructure to optimise their toolset.

You will also be working with the O365 stack on EDR platforms, SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners and more. In this role you will look to push the organisations boundaries and help them improve and enhance their current systems.

This position is perfect for somebody who likes to play with or even break systems in order to make sure that they are at their most efficient!

In this role you will:

• Work directly with various security tools to make sure they are being maximised
• Interact with other members of the security team as well as third parties to ensure coverage of the full security function
• Work actively on improving the organisations security operations knowledge and resistance

Requirements:

• Direct security engineering experience within an end user organisation
• Knowledge and hands on experience with various security tools (SIEM Platforms, EDR Tools, Vulnerability Scanners, etc.)
• Understanding of scripting languages and/or automation techniques
