Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Cyber Security Advisor who will be in a team of highly skilled Cyber Security professionals who are all working towards positively improving the Cyber Security posture of NHS organisations while continuously improving their resilience to cyber-attacks and safeguarding their ability to provide services to patients throughout England.
The Cyber Security Advisor will:
- Be primarily focused on supporting the activities of the Tier 2 and Tier 3 analysts while progressing and developing your own skills and knowledge.
- Learn about the technologies and tools used within the NHS Digital CSOC (Cyber Security Operations Centre) and how these are leveraged to enhance the security posture of the NHS estate.
- Investigate security alerts and provide incident management support.
- Work with the Threat Intelligence SME to publish articles and bulletins related to Health and Social Care to the wider NHS estate.
About you
Some of the skills and experience we're looking for:
- Basic knowledge level of knowledge related to what the CSOC (Cyber Security Operations Centre) does (but not limited to):
-How a SIEM works
-Networks and Network Security
-Penetration Testing
- Knowledge of techniques, approaches and processes of digital threats; ability to detect, monitor, analyse and prevent digital threats.
- Basic knowledge of concepts, tools and practices of dealing with computer crime; ability to detect and prevent business crimes that involve computers/networks as instruments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Graduate level qualification in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience.
