Data Engineer

Description:

Data Revolution is hiring a Data Engineer to be part of a high-impact, hands-on role within a global leader in specialty insurance and warranty solutions. Based in London, this position offers a unique opportunity to lead data transformation initiatives across multiple regions, playing a central role in integrating European operations into a unified data ecosystem.

In this role, you'll report directly to the VP of Data (US-based) and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the UK, US, and India, contributing to the company’s global expansion efforts. You'll lead the design and implementation of ETL pipelines, support data product strategies, and drive operational and financial reporting automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust and high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, Databricks, and DBT.

• Ingest and process complex datasets from European specialty and warranty businesses.

• Integrate and manage data warehousing in Snowflake, automating business reporting.

• Work collaboratively with global teams to improve data quality, architecture, and product strategies.

• Document technical architectures and participate in global data engineering initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Must-Have Skills:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering.

• Expertise in SQL, Python, and Databricks.

• Deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes and best practices.

Preferred:

• Experience using DBT (Data Build Tool).

• Background in insurance, financial services, or data/reporting-intensive environments.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid: 4 days onsite in the Central London office and 1 day remote.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: Up to £100000/year depending on experience

• Bonus: 5–10% performance-based
