Description:

Data Revolution, a global leader in specialty insurance and warranty solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join their London-based data team during an exciting global expansion. This role offers the chance to work on mission-critical data transformation projects, beginning with the integration of the European ledger into the Snowflake data warehouse. The goal is to provide a unified global view of business performance across multiple regions.

As a Data Engineer, you will report directly to the VP of Data based in the US and collaborate closely with global business, finance, and technology teams across the US and Europe. This position provides high visibility, full ownership, and the opportunity to shape European data engineering operations from the ground up. You will also gain exposure to mature US data architectures while contributing to scalable solutions in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop robust, high-performance ETL pipelines using SQL, Python, Databricks, and DBT.

  • Ingest and process complex data sets from Europe’s specialty insurance and warranty business lines.

  • Integrate Snowflake data warehouse and automate financial and operational reporting solutions.

  • Support global data product strategies to improve structure, data quality, and governance.

  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to advance global data initiatives.

  • Define, document, and implement cloud-based technical architectures.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of professional experience in data engineering.

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Databricks.

  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT best practices and data transformation techniques.

  • Ability to design scalable and high-performance data pipelines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with DBT.

  • Background in insurance, financial services, or data-heavy reporting environments.
