Description:
IC Resources is seeking a highly skilled RF Validation Engineer to contribute to advanced research and development in RF validation, test automation, and system performance optimization. This on-site position in Edinburgh offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art technologies and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams focused on cutting-edge innovations in RF systems and semiconductor technology.
As an RF Validation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the post-silicon validation phase, ensuring that RF systems meet stringent performance and reliability standards. You will design, implement, and refine automated test frameworks while performing detailed system analysis, debugging, and optimization. The position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on work in the lab, thrives in collaborative technical environments, and possesses a deep understanding of RF architectures and signal processing technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct post-silicon RF validation, characterization, and system-level performance testing.
Design and implement automated RF test frameworks using Python or C#.
Perform detailed system analysis, debug issues, and optimize performance parameters.
Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, including design, test, and software engineers, to achieve project milestones.
Develop test procedures and documentation to ensure reproducibility and compliance with internal standards.
Evaluate transceivers, processors, and DSP components in various RF system applications.
Required Skills & Experience:
At least 4 years of professional experience in RF validation, testing, or related fields (academic research not included).
Strong technical understanding of RF architectures, wireless communication systems, and system-level design principles.
Practical, hands-on experience in an RF lab environment, including testing, calibration, and measurement of high-frequency systems.
Proven expertise in post-silicon validation and troubleshooting of RF or mixed-signal hardware.
Proficiency in test automation using Python or C#.
Familiarity with transceiver technologies, signal processing, or DSP systems is a significant advantage.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively in collaborative engineering environments.
