Description:
The People Business Partner supports the Director of People Partnering by delivering the HR agenda aligned with SJP’s strategy. This role partners with business leaders to shape strategic people plans, manage complex ER issues, develop workforce strategies, support cultural and behavioural expectations, and drive HR initiatives within regulatory and risk-aware frameworks.
Deliver the HR agenda aligned with SJP strategy
Manage complex/high-risk employee relations issues
Support senior leadership with reporting and HR insights
Develop workforce planning, succession, and talent strategies
Embed SJP culture, values, leadership behaviours, and DEI commitments
Use HR analytics for data-driven decision-making
Manage People-related risks and ensure regulatory compliance
Partner on reward and compensation strategy
Coach senior leaders to improve business and people outcomes
Execute people strategy across complex environments
Build strong working relationships with HR and senior leadership
Ensure adherence to FCA/PRA and financial services regulations
Essential
Senior People Business Partner experience in FS commercial functions
Strong analytical/data interpretation skills
Proven capability in org design, culture, regulatory change, workforce planning
Experience coaching senior leaders
Strong relationship-building with senior stakeholders
Knowledge of performance frameworks, pay structures, incentive schemes
Commercial mindset and strong grasp of HR practices in FS
Strong communication and influence at senior levels
Strategic, commercial, and pragmatic thinker
Ability to manage risk and interpret regulatory requirements
Proactive, collaborative, and able to challenge constructively
Comfortable with change and ambiguity
National travel (Cirencester, London) with occasional overnight stays
Flexibility around working hours
Familiarity with FCA conduct regulations and consumer duty
