Description:

The Database Marketing Analyst role is responsible for creating RCI marketing campaigns within our Customer Data Platform, Simon Data.

The role holder will be ensure the accuracy of the data and also be able to communicate effectively with the Marketing team and our DBM counterparts in APAC. The individual will also offer suggestions and guidance on how we can effectively segment our members in an effective and optimised manner.

The Database Marketing Analyst will also use Marketing databases to create customer data selections for Direct Mail, E-Mail and Outbound telemarketing, and online campaigns across European and Middle East markets.

Additionally, they will assist with the deployment of emails, using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, when required on an ad-hoc basis.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (group in related activities and document key actions and outcomes required)

  • Support and assist line manager in the implementation of key cross-regional CRM initiatives and projects
  • Creation and provision of audience selection data for Email, Telemarketing, Online and Direct Mail campaigns in support of RCI Marketing strategy.
  • Oversee and manage own portfolio of production tasks and campaigns, assisting line manager with day to day activities as directed using the Global Marketing platform Simon Data (SD).
  • Support line manager in the management of inclusions and exclusions, member definitions and segmentation
  • Support for market research projects, e.g. create data selections for surveys.
  • Ensure adherence to overall campaign best practice guidelines, providing milestone dates to ensure on time completion of scheduled drop dates.
  • Co-ordination of key touch points with Viscomms, DBM, Analytics and external Vendors throughout campaign production processes as directed by the Campaign Production Manager.
  • Data manipulation and data investigations for audience sizing and selection.
  • Support wider department and business by utilising technical and data knowledge.
  • Assist Campaign team in emergency cover of deployment of campaigns provide proofs and carry out minor tasks within the platform to ensure the smooth running of campaign through Salesforce Marketing Cloud when requested by Head of department.
  • Support line manager with analysis and recommendations focused on member contact optimisation.
  • Ad-hoc data analysis and investigations as directed by Head of department and line manager.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Database marketing / Data Manipulation / Data Segmentation experience.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel
  • Experience of SQL /SAS/Snowflake or similar data query tool
  • Ability to represent the DBM team when required, usually during kick off meetings and also with our counterparts in other regions.
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrates proactive work style.
  • Ability to successfully communicate both verbally and in writing at all levels.
  • Demonstrate sound business judgment and decision making skills
  • Strong attention to detail – critical requirement
