Pinsent Masons, one of the world’s leading law firms, is seeking an MLS Delivery Manager to join its fast-growing Vario team, which is a market-leading alternative legal services provider within the firm. The role sits within the Managed Legal Services (MLS) function, which supports internal practice groups and external clients with flexible, efficient, and high-quality legal service delivery.
As an MLS Delivery Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management, supervision, and development of a team of paralegals and legal professionals. The position requires a hands-on leader who can balance service delivery management, people development, and client engagement strategies while ensuring world-class legal solutions are delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide line management and leadership to a team of paralegals, ensuring day-to-day supervision, training, mentoring, and career development.
Oversee the delivery of legal services to both internal Pinsent Masons lawyers and external clients, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency.
Manage service delivery processes, including resource planning, progress reporting, workload allocation, and performance reviews.
Implement quality assurance and efficiency improvements across delivery models to achieve best-in-class standards.
Collaborate closely with practice groups, sectors, and resource management teams to align legal delivery with organizational priorities.
Develop effective stakeholder relationships to promote the benefits of alternative legal service delivery within the firm.
Utilize and track performance metrics to monitor outcomes, enhance service delivery, and meet client expectations.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of leadership, legal expertise, and service delivery management experience, including:
Strong background in dispute-related legal matters.
Experience in alternative legal services and innovative service delivery models.
Demonstrable experience in leading and developing high-performing legal teams.
Proven ability to manage high-volume, multi-location legal service delivery.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills within a large commercial law firm.
Familiarity with using performance metrics and data-driven approaches to optimize delivery.
