O’Reilly Auto Parts, a trusted leader in the automotive parts industry, is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Delivery Specialist to join its Anchorage, AK location. This part-time position plays a vital role in ensuring professional customers receive their automotive parts and products on time and in excellent condition. The role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to varying delivery conditions while providing top-tier customer service.

The Delivery Specialist will be responsible for operating company vehicles, delivering products efficiently, collecting payments for C.O.D. deliveries, and processing customer returns. Candidates should be comfortable using fleet management hand-held devices for order processing, mileage updates, inspections, and customer signature capture. Additional duties may include assisting in-store with stocking, merchandising, cashiering, and other customer service needs when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver automotive parts and products to customers.

• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores) and complete return slips accurately.

• Maintain and inspect delivery vehicles daily, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and security.

• Handle vehicle keys, credit cards, delivery devices, and collected funds responsibly.

• Report any vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or issues immediately to store management.

• Assist with in-store tasks including cashiering, stocking, merchandising, and general upkeep when business needs arise.

• Maintain strong communication with customers and store management regarding deliveries or special requests.

• Adhere to all company safety and operational policies, including clock-in/out requirements.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (meeting company’s 14/18-point standard).

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to quickly process alphanumeric sequences.

• Adaptability to changing delivery schedules and customer needs.

• Familiarity with automotive parts and the ability to operate light store equipment preferred.

• Bilingual ability, especially in Spanish, is highly desirable.
