Demand Planner, Food Wholesale

Description:

An analytical Demand Planner is needed for a newly created planning role within a busy food wholesaler. The role involves managing and analyzing demand forecasts, driving supply accuracy, reducing stock, and improving product availability. The company supplies a wide range of ambient, chilled, and frozen products to customers across the foodservice and food manufacturing sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Own and drive stock accuracy, improving availability for premium food products sourced from European and UK suppliers.

• Work closely with the sales team, managing and analyzing demand forecasts for key accounts.

• Drive forecast accuracy and meet agreed KPIs for key customer accounts.

• Identify root causes and corrective actions at SKU level to optimize inventory levels and maximize sales opportunities.

Requirements:

• Two years of industry experience in FMCG demand planning.

• Ability to work under pressure, meet targets, and deadlines.

• Proactive in identifying issues as or before they arise.

• Strong organizational and communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.

• Analytical approach with strong Microsoft Excel knowledge.

• Power BI or other demand planning system experience is advantageous.
