Power on Connections are part of a family of companies owned by BUUK Infrastructure and are recruiting for a Design Engineer to provide Applications Engineering support to customer enquiries and orders to the business. This full time, permanent position can be based in our offices in Coventry.

To be successful in this role you will need to have previous design experience within the utilities or construction industry. You will hold either a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject along with a good technical knowledge. You will possess strong communication skills both written and verbal, along with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Full training on this and our systems will be provided.

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you hold a full valid UK driving license.

Responsibilities will include –

• Accountable to Senior Design Engineer for Quality, customer service and technical resolution
• Ensuring the design work is in accordance with Customer and Business requirements
• Ensure effective management of internal asset value documentation
• Work closely with Business Development, ESO’s and Designers to develop tender, design and construction designs to fully meet customer and business requirements
• Be creative in finding solutions to resource / schedule problems to maintain project delivery programme
• Proactively escalate problems to the Senior Design Engineer and other functional managers to avoid exposure to Health and Safety risks, customer complaints and commercial exposure
• Work closely with Construction teams to keep them continually and fully appraised of design status
• Represent POC to customers and individuals from other companies
• Liaise with the public to ensure smooth implementation of work, always handling people with respect and patience
