Description:
As Designer, you will play a significant role in shaping the visual identity of the world’s most loved book brand online and beyond. Ideally, as our Designer, you will have a portfolio that demonstrates versatility as this role will require someone who is equally comfortable in both design and illustration.
Working with the Design Lead and the rest of the design team, it will be important that you can bring different perspectives and offer new ideas in a variety of ways. This role will work extensively across designing our editorial content, as well as marketing material and campaign briefs.
What we need from you:
A portfolio showing a passion for illustration. A versatile set of styles would be advantageous, as would experience in executing editorial briefs.
Solid typography and layout skills.
Experience in generating ideas and presenting work.
Good organisational skills, with experience in working on and prioritising multiple briefs at once.
You will have good communication skills, and a collaborative approach, you will work with many different writers within the editorial content team, as well as other designers, photographers, UX Designers and AV producers.
You will understand and can adapt to the different requirements of editorial and branding design briefs. Proven experience working in editorial or branding environment would be ideal.
Experience of commissioning/directing illustration and/or photography would be advantageous.
Experience of photoshop, InDesign and illustrator is essential, and experience with After Effects would be advantageous, but not essential.
