Digital Communications Officer

Description:

Development and Alumni Relations (DARO) is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Digital Communications Officer to create effective communications that enhance engagement with our alumni community and promote our fundraising campaigns.

The successful candidate will develop and implement exciting and innovative content across all platforms and continuously develop and maintain all digital channels, including but not limited to website, social media and email campaigns. They will also be required to play an important role in content generation and production and will liaise with a range of contacts including influential alumni, donors and Honorary Graduates.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:

• A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject with a minimum of 2 years’ recent relevant experience; OR 4 years’ recent relevant experience in a digital communications role. Experience to include:

• Managing social media accounts;
• Designing and managing regular email newsletters;
• Managing websites; and
• Generating content using a range of media.

PLUS:

• Relevant experience of managing and stimulating online engagement and building an online community, creating engaging content, answering requests, and using analytics to optimise outcomes and enhance user experience.
• Relevant experience of planning and delivering innovative digital communication plans using a project-based approach, including identifying objectives, tasks and timelines, managing resources and resolving issues.
• Experience writing, storytelling, designing, editing and proofreading across a range of media and channels.
• Experience of creating, implementing and evaluating digital communications campaigns.
• Experience of problem follow through and issue resolution. Finds solutions to problems.
