Description:
Integrated Care 24 (IC24), a leading not-for-profit social enterprise delivering innovative primary and urgent care services to over six million patients, is seeking a Director of Education to lead the organisation’s educational and research initiatives. This senior role will play a crucial part in implementing the organisation’s education strategy to ensure a sustainable workforce, continuous professional development, and improved organisational performance.
The Director of Education will be responsible for developing leadership at all levels, ensuring compliance with essential learning requirements, and fostering strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires visible leadership to inspire teams, integrate research with education, and drive organisational improvement in partnership with senior leadership, including the Director of Clinical Governance and the Head of Improvement.

Lead the delivery of the organisation’s educational strategy for workforce sustainability.
Ensure compliance with mandatory learning and CPD requirements.
Provide strong, visible leadership to communicate organisational vision and objectives.
Develop leadership capabilities across all levels to improve care delivery.
Foster collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Align research, evaluation, and education activities across the organisation.
Partner with the Director of Clinical Governance and Head of Improvement to drive organisational learning.
Registered clinical professional with a degree-level education.
Teaching and mentoring qualification or substantial experience.
Leadership qualification, course, or equivalent experience.
Evidence of continuing postgraduate education and professional development.
Significant post-registration managerial experience.
Proven expertise in leading quality improvement and/or education programmes.
Experience in system leadership and broad stakeholder engagement.
Clinical Consultation and Minor Illness qualification.
Independent Prescribing qualification.
Project management qualification or equivalent experience.
Lean or Six Sigma qualification.
Experience in urgent care or acute secondary care.
Knowledge of research/educational funding processes.
Understanding of apprenticeships and related programmes.
Competitive annual salary of up to £73,000 depending on experience.
