Infrawatch, a fast-growing cybersecurity threat intelligence company, is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Engineering to lead its technical teams and scale its global security intelligence platform. As specialists in Adversary Infrastructure Discovery, Infrawatch is innovating at the forefront of detecting and neutralizing cyber threats across the internet.

This remote UK-based role offers an opportunity to take a hands-on leadership position in a high-impact, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a history of successful engineering leadership, and a passion for building scalable and secure threat intelligence systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing engineering teams in the cybersecurity domain

• Architect and execute the technical roadmap for threat intelligence platforms and scanning infrastructure

• Implement engineering best practices, performance standards, and scalable system architectures

• Drive enhancements in infrastructure discovery, adversary detection, and threat attribution techniques

• Collaborate closely with Threat Intelligence and Product teams for real-time threat analysis

• Oversee resources for scanning technologies, detection signatures, and data correlation frameworks

• Establish KPIs and metrics to track detection performance and system accuracy

• Foster a culture of technical innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration

• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance scanning accuracy, detection speed, and intelligence depth

• Ensure platform scalability and data quality for global security operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master’s preferred)

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering leadership roles

• Proven success in managing cybersecurity or infrastructure-focused engineering teams

• Strong technical grounding in distributed systems, network protocols, and threat intelligence architecture

• Experience with large-scale data systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and microservices

• Knowledge of DNS, IP addressing, BGP, and adversary infrastructure techniques

• Hands-on expertise in continuous integration and deployment for security applications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders

• Familiarity with engineering budgeting and resource management in security environments

Preferred Skills:

• Background in threat intelligence, adversary infrastructure detection, or cybersecurity product development

• Understanding of residential proxy detection, VPN fingerprinting, and C2 infrastructure analysis

• Experience in building detection signatures and behavioral correlation logic

• Proven success in managing globally distributed engineering teams

• Experience launching and scaling security products in compliance-heavy environments

• Familiarity with machine learning or AI for advanced threat analytics
