Director Of Events

 

Description:

As our Director of Events, you'll be the driving force behind the planning, execution, and expansion of all Battle Cancer events worldwide. From stadium arenas to corporate initiatives, you'll ensure every event is delivered with excellence, energy, and impact.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Management: Oversee end-to-end planning and delivery of events across multiple countries - including venue sourcing, logistics, operations, staffing, budgeting, and post-event analysis.
  • Team & Stakeholder Coordination: Lead a high-performing team of Event Managers and collaborate with brand partners, sponsors, vendors, and charity organisations.
  • Participant Experience: Champion an unforgettable, community-driven experience for every athlete, volunteer, and attendee.
  • Innovation & Growth: Identify new event opportunities and markets to help us scale and deepen our impact.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure all events meet safety, legal, and compliance standards across multiple jurisdictions, catering to all local laws, permits, etc.

 

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • 5+ years of event management experience (fitness, charity, or large-scale events a plus) with 2+ years at a senior level
  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale events across multiple regions
  • Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent organisational, budgeting, and project management abilities
  • A problem solver with the ability to stay calm in high-pressure environments
  • Must be based in the UK / Ireland, willing to travel internationally, and work flexible hours (including weekends during event season)
  • Passion for fitness, fundraising, and community engagement a plus!
