A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the General Manager as part of the Senior Management Team, you will be based at the hotel on a Full-Time basis.

This role has a fantastic scope for progression, with the opportunity to cover a hotel cluster within a few months. As such, we are looking for a manager at a senior level with a strong background in hotel finance operations.

You can expect your working day to include the following;

• Establishing and maintaining excellent interdepartmental relationships with all Heads of Department and key company stakeholders
• To have accountability for the general hotel finance function and all accounting operations
• To support a team of Finance Assistants, setting targets and promoting employee engagement and development
• To liaise with the Divisional Financial Controller in managing cash flow and cost mangement
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report on variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and management accounts
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Develop and document business processes, accounting policies and strengthen commercial strategy plans
