Description:
King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals, is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Operations to join its senior leadership team. The Director of Operations will play a critical role as part of the Divisional management triumvirate, sharing responsibility for delivering the Divisional agenda and leading operational performance across multiple clinical service areas within the Trust.
This role requires a visionary leader with proven expertise in operational management, strategic planning, and performance delivery in complex healthcare environments. Reporting to the Chief of Division, the post holder will take the lead in ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective patient services, while developing operational strategies that align with both internal priorities and external healthcare objectives.
The Director of Operations will work closely with the Divisional Director of Nursing and senior management teams to establish and maintain effective management systems, foster a culture of innovation, and ensure alignment with the Trust’s vision: Strong Roots, Global Reach. The role involves interpreting performance data, implementing service objectives, and taking shared accountability for achieving strategic, operational, and financial goals.

Lead operational delivery across multiple clinical service areas within the Division.
