Description:
Arm is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director of Software Engineering to lead its Infrastructure Solutions Productization team. This senior leadership role involves driving strategy, technical direction, and execution across QA and Release engineering functions, ensuring world-class quality and performance for Arm’s infrastructure ecosystem.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening Arm’s Neoverse platform — the foundation for the next generation of global digital infrastructure — by ensuring robust product validation, optimized release engineering, and streamlined system software delivery.
You’ll lead diverse engineering teams spread across multiple geographies, collaborating with business, product, and technology leadership to align technical execution with strategic business outcomes.
Provide strategic direction and leadership for all QA and Release engineering operations related to Arm’s Infrastructure Solutions.
Lead and mentor a high-performing, multinational engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
Partner with Product Management, Firmware Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality, on-time product releases.
Define and implement best practices for software development, release automation, and system validation processes.
Offer technical guidance on functional and non-functional product validation, build automation, and system integration.
Optimize software delivery pipelines and ensure compliance with security, performance, and quality standards.
Monitor risks, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and drive continuous improvement across the productization lifecycle.
Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure delivery roadmaps align with business objectives.
Proven experience in leading large-scale software validation and QA initiatives.
Deep technical knowledge of release engineering methodologies, automation frameworks, and CI/CD systems.
Strong programming background in C and Python, with solid understanding of embedded systems and firmware validation.
Expertise in system software integration and embedded development for cloud server environments.
Demonstrated ability to manage large teams, budgets, and multi-location engineering operations.
Familiarity with open-source ecosystems and collaborative software development practices.
Experience working with cloud server OEMs or BIOS vendors to deliver products to market.
