Description:
The CEPO leadership will ensure platform services are strategic and develop into an efficient and reliable platform office. CEPO will have nine platform services that deliver critical national infrastructure to CDIO, HMRC and other government departments, and two supporting functions that provide key operational, governance, ways of working and practice management. The nine platform services consist of strategic ownership of core and enabling infrastructure, these are provided in the following paragraph:
This role spans our Enterprise Cloud Platform and Integration Platform, both of which empower delivery teams to build and innovate in the cloud. Our goal is to enhance the value delivery teams derive from these platforms by simplifying core foundations, expanding service offerings, and enabling pattern consumption through an Internal Developer Platform delivered in a self-service model. We will measure our progress throughout the journey, ensuring continuous reflection and refinement of our approach.
Our integration platform runs a number of smaller platforms within, but at it’s core is an API integration layer, simplifying access to source legacy source systems (that we aim to migrate away from in time). It’s a complex set of engineering
challenges. Both platforms aim to be fully self service.
This role will help drive technical excellence throughout our approaches, be that strategy, service selection or how we build and run services. It will drive strategy but also help enhance our engineering capability.
The role will be hands on, dropping in to trouble shoot or pair up on challenges as required.
