Description:
We are seeking a creative and tenacious Distribution Account Manager (DAM) to support the overall direction, go-to-market strategy and execution of the UKI channel sales business.
In this key role, you will drive Proofpoint Channel business through our Distribution Partners with a primary focus being on the development of distribution managed partners.
Your primary function is to drive distribution-led revenues, increase share of wallet & develop key relationships with Executive level, and day-to-day business managers with named partners. Implement and manage annual Business and Marketing plans to drive Partner-Led business for the various Sales Teams and Proofpoint product solutions. Coordinate with internal groups (Finance, Legal, Sales, Engineering etc.) to manage Distribution forecasting and quote-to-cash process.
The DAM will act as an extension of the sales organisation by leveraging the partner community in the region. You will be a key member of the UK Channel Team working alongside other Channel Managers to drive distribution on defined KPI’s and goals, including partner recruitment and enablement, deal registrations, pipeline created and net-new revenue. Over time they will take ownership of a few key growth partners to develop them into core Proofpoint partners.
Your day-to-day
- Implement and own the Proofpoint annual/quarterly Distribution business plans to drive incremental growth, achieve goals and exceed quota
- Drive the Proofpoint Distribution business plan to support the growth of the partner community
- Identify and target high potential growth partners. Support their recruitment and enable their growth against the agreed business objectives with a focus being on Partner Source opportunities as measured by Deal Registrations
- Take Partners through the enablement process to get their sales and pre-sales trained
- Understand the partners business to allow them to differentiate from other partners
- Create partner marketing campaigns to build partner pipeline
- Assist with driving pipeline, sales qualification, and closing of business via Channel partners
- Drive the engagement with partners and the channel team to assist with deal registration approval / denial process
- Work with our top partners at end of month and end of quarter to ensure order accuracy and thus ease of doing business
- Conduct pro-active on-going training presentations with the Proofpoint sales teams to ensure they understand how to engage with, how to build, and how to grow the Proofpoint business with the help of our channel partners.
- Assist the channel team by helping them meet and exceed the channel bookings revenue and ARR quotas set for the organisation.
- Serves as lead contact responsible for all day-to-day business through the Distribution Channel and Proofpoint.
- Develop and manage relationships with key executives, decision makers, influencers at each Distribution partner.
- Required travel to each Distribution point and Channel events associated with each partner.

- Experience managing resellers, ideally in the information security and data archiving markets
- Excellent presentation skills to executives & individual contributors
