Ecs Accountant

Description:

- Assisting with a broad range of Financial Control activities - including, but not limited to; journal posting and preparation of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, involvement in the half year and year end audit including preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with the auditors.

• Supporting delivery of internal management and cashflow reporting and forecasting, external regulatory reporting, project work and continuous improvement for Energy Customer Solutions.

• Supporting the preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly regulatory financial reporting to Ofgem.

• Building strong relationships both internally and externally working closely with the Commercial, Energy Economics and Treasury teams to ensure accurate reporting and service levels are met.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

• Relevant accounting experience gained from working in a similar operational finance role.

• Attention to detail and ability to analyse and interpret data.

• Fully qualified accountant with knowledge of relevant financial reporting regulations including IFRS9 and IFRS15.

• Strong Office 365 skills (financial modelling experience desirable).

• Knowledge of general accounting procedures and core financial systems (Oracle desirable).
