Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will focus on ensuring those children who are unable to attend a school placement can access suitable alternative provision to meet their needs.
You will be:
- liaising with a range of practitioners and professionals to source and put in place alternative provision packages which meet individual needs.
- training keyworkers and partners on the process for accessing alternative provision.
- quality assurance of referrals for alternative provision.
- promoting the dynamic purchasing system to new providers to increase the range of alternative provision available.
- overseeing block contracts with providers
The Ideal Candidate
You will have:
- GCSE in Mathematics and English, or equivalent qualification
- NVQ3 or equivalent qualification or the relevant work experience
- An understanding of relevant legislative for Children and Families/Education Services
- Experience of liaising with, training, providing advice to a wide range of professionals
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in partnership with broad range of professionals
