Ehs Specialist

Description:

As an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist at Arla Foods’ Settle Creamery, you will be a vital part of the Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) team, ensuring the site remains safe, healthy, and compliant with environmental regulations. You will act as the conscience of the site, influencing positive change, coaching colleagues, and fostering a strong EHS culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive and promote EHS culture at the site, building positive relationships across functions.

• Share knowledge and coach colleagues to operate safely and sustainably.

• Support local ownership of risk identification and mitigation.

• Act as the primary site representative for external stakeholders such as Environment Agency, United Utilities, HSE, and local councils.

• Collaborate with the wider QEHS team on various initiatives.

• Continuously share knowledge and learn as part of a global EHS community.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong experience in Health & Safety, preferably in Food Manufacturing.

• Some grounding in Environmental issues is a plus but not essential (training provided).

• Relevant qualifications in Environmental or Health & Safety disciplines.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to build genuine and productive relationships.

• Strong professional integrity and passion for EHS work.

Additional Information:

• The site is expected to close in the second half of 2027.
