Electrical Design Team Lead

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to lead our expanding Interconnects team. As Team Lead, you'll oversee a small team and manage cable/harness work packages, driving the creation of custom cable designs. Collaboration with diverse stakeholders will be central as you utilise customer, environmental, and technical specifications to craft manufacturable solutions, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.

Your responsibilities will encompass meticulous workload planning, accurate budgeting, and timely conduct of design reviews and documentation for the appropriate audience. Collaboration across departments and with external suppliers will be essential to strategise, execute, and enhance solutions while adeptly navigating both opportunities and challenges.

What we’re looking for:

• Leadership experience is preferred but not essential
• Proficiency in managing work packages, ensuring a balance between cost, quality, and schedule, with a focus on Design for Manufacture and Design for Test.
• Knowledge of Interconnect/Cable/Harness design and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Experience in stakeholder management, requirement review, offering technical guidance, and assessing suppliers.
• Demonstrated track record of on-time delivery, complemented by strong verbal and written communication skills.
