Description:
An experienced and qualified electrical engineer is required to join the Capital Improvement delivery - Engineering Building Services team.
The candidate must show an interest and knowledge in housing and be able to coordinate technical support to the wider Capital Improvement Team.
Will suit someone who can demonstrate drive, ambition and the ability to manage and deliver a variety of electrical projects including Emergency Lighting, Door Entry, CCTV then this will be an opportunity for you!
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of electrical projects for the social housing department at the London Borough of Islington. You will be required to undertake project design, technical reports and manage works from inception through procurement to completion of works on site.
The role requires an engineer to be responsible for cyclical replacements from conception to completion. Including for:
- Door Entry Access Control Systems
- Estate Column Lighting
- Building Lighting and Power (including emergency lighting)
- Electrical Mains Distribution
- Lateral Supplies - Electrical Supplies to dwellings.
The Successful Candidate Will Ideally Have
- A proven track record managing and delivering electrical projects with the ability to ensure the highest possible standards are maintained
- The ability to manage and coordinate your own workload with minimal supervision
- An understanding of procurement and contract administration processes and have the ability to undertake design and detailed technical reports
