Sweco, as part of the Anglian Water @one Alliance, is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to contribute to its ambitious and innovative Asset Management Period (AMP8) programme. The @one Alliance is a collaboration between nine partner companies delivering more than half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects that focus on sustainability, resilience, and innovation in water infrastructure.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be providing technical input into projects across the Anglian Water region. You will design and specify LV electrical installations and distribution systems, develop LV assemblies including MCCs and control panels, review contractor designs, liaise with stakeholders, and specify instrumentation. You will play a key role in ensuring projects meet technical standards, support operational requirements, and deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and specify LV electrical installations and distribution systems, including specifications, schedules, data sheets, and drawings.

  • Develop and specify LV assemblies (MCCs, switchboards, control panels).

  • Review LV electrical designs by contractors, including schematics, cable calculations, and termination diagrams.

  • Liaise with construction teams, operations, suppliers, and utility companies on technical issues.

  • Specify and select instrumentation aligned with process designs.

  • Support delivery across Sweco’s business units: Place-Based Thinking, Water, or Water Recycling (East & West).

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.

  • Strong electrical engineering knowledge and design capability.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Water industry experience preferred but not essential.

  • Full UK driving licence required for site visits.
