Electrical Engineer

Description:

Hoare Lea, a human-centric and planet-conscious engineering consultancy, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their Cardiff office. The role offers an opportunity to work as part of the largest independent consulting engineering firm of its kind, contributing to significant national and international engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide detailed, coordinated, and cost-efficient electrical design advice to clients.

• Design electrical systems using modern software tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux, and Relux.

• Prepare specifications, calculations, and reports to a high standard.

• Attend DTMs, client meetings, and site inspections.

• Take ownership of project tasks and work independently or as part of a team.

• Innovate and conduct research to stay ahead of industry developments.

• Manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience delivering complex electrical engineering projects.

• Strong understanding of modern technical delivery processes and design tools.

• Experience working with clients, contractors, and architects in consultancy roles.

• Excellent communication and technical report writing skills.

• Ability to support and mentor colleagues, sharing knowledge and skills.

• Self-aware, open-minded, and collaborative in approach.
