Electrical Engineering Manager

 

Description:

EVEREC is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering (Technical) Manager to lead the technical delivery of EV charging infrastructure projects throughout the UK. The role is central to managing installations from design to commissioning, ensuring high-quality standards, regulatory compliance, and efficient stakeholder coordination.

The position is hybrid, with three days per week on-site in London, offering a competitive salary package including a base of £62.5k, car allowance, and bonuses bringing the OTE to approximately £80k annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of EV charging site installations, from design through commissioning

  • Identify risks and technical challenges that could impact timelines or quality

  • Manage supplier and contractor relationships, maintaining project timelines and standards

  • Provide technical advice and support on design, installation, and compliance standards

  • Align system and product compatibility with network and industry requirements

  • Report regularly on progress, milestones, risks, and key performance indicators

  • Ensure health and safety compliance at all sites

  • Work with design, planning, and operations to ensure coordinated project delivery

  • Act as a technical advisor to leadership on project and system matters

Candidate Profile:
You are either a qualified electrician or a technical project lead with direct experience in electrical or EV infrastructure. You’re technically proficient, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple stakeholders and high-risk technical operations in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience as a Technical Manager, Electrical Project Manager, or Supervisor

  • Delivery experience in EV charging infrastructure or related electrical systems

  • Knowledge of HV/LV systems, DNO connections, and public highway environments

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Amtech/Trimble, and manual calculation techniques

  • Familiarity with BS7671, IET Code of Practice, and 18th Edition standards

  • Experience with reporting, supply chain coordination, and performance tracking

  • Capability to provide electrical sign-off; NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor preferred

Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition, 2nd Amendment)

  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification

  • SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred)

  • Higher-level qualification in electrical/electronic engineering (preferred)

  • Full UK driving licence
