Electrical Engineering Manager

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is hiring on behalf of a leading and dynamic manufacturing company for the position of Electrical Maintenance Manager. This is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to manage electrical operations, maintenance planning, and capital investment projects, while ensuring plant uptime, reliability, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking manufacturer that strongly emphasizes internal promotions, career development, and professional growth. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract role with strong potential for progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the single point of contact for all electrical operations across designated areas.

• Take full ownership of the electrical maintenance and capital budget, including planning, execution, and optimization.

• Build and manage annual maintenance plans using CMMS, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts and production demands.

• Collaborate with Reliability and Engineering teams to improve equipment uptime and overall efficiency (OEE/ME).

• Develop and maintain FMECA databases to support asset reliability strategies.

• Plan and oversee electrical works during plant shutdowns, including creating contractor packages for execution.

• Contribute to CAPEX and Continuous Improvement projects, with a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency initiatives.

• Lead and mentor Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Automation Engineers, conducting performance reviews and supporting career development.

• Ensure adherence to AM/PM methodologies to maintain functional excellence, with the support of CI teams.

Requirements:

• Apprentice-trained Electrical Maintenance Engineer background.

• Experience in maintenance and breakdowns within a manufacturing environment.

• Prior experience in an Area Management role or higher.

• Level 4 (or equivalent) qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

• Strong background in reliability and project work.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Flexible and adaptable approach to service delivery.

• UK driving license essential.
