Description:
We're seeking an enthusiastic Employee Events & Marketing Intern to join our Proofpoint Connect & Proofpoint Cares teams for a 9-month internship. The primary focus for this role is to assist with the planning and onsite execution for our various Sunnyvale events throughout the year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for logistics, storytelling, and delivering memorable experiences that connect and inspire our employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with any onsite logistics for campus events, including room setup, vendor check-in management, and attendee tracking. Serve as an additional point of contact during Sunnyvale events, helping to ensure smooth operations and positive attendee experiences
- Assist the team in creating and organizing any event materials, signage, and promotional items for Sunnyvale initiatives.
- Assist with planning, promotion and onsite logistics for employee volunteering activities for the Sunnyvale office.
- Assist with Sunnyvale-specific inventory management, supply organization, shipping requests, and any other basic administrative tasks as needed to support the team.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources or Event Management.
- Strong project management, time management, and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a flair for tone and storytelling
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
- Availability to work onsite in Sunnyvale with occasional evening events as needed
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a service mindset and a passion for creating engaging experiences
