Description:

JCW is seeking a dynamic and experienced UK-qualified legal professional to join a global insurance group on a 12-month contract, starting ASAP. In this high-impact role, you will deliver comprehensive employment law advice to the business, ensuring strict compliance with local labour laws while supporting operational objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with HR, senior leadership, and external counsel within a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer strategic legal guidance across the entire employee lifecycle, including employee relations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

• Advise on corporate restructurings, acquisitions, and dispositions with an employment law perspective.

• Integrate compliance with legal and regulatory requirements into HR practices and processes.

• Provide practical tools for risk mitigation, develop best practice templates, and offer actionable business strategies.

• Collaborate with global Employment Advisory team members, HR stakeholders, and internal business clients.

• Lead training initiatives and share employment law expertise across the organization.

What You Will Bring:

• UK Qualified Lawyer with strong, proven experience in employment law.

• In-house legal experience in multinational corporations, ideally within highly regulated sectors like banking, insurance, or financial services.

• Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate a range of HR-related legal documents.

• Skilled at translating complex employment legislation into practical strategies aligned with business goals.

• Strong understanding of corporate HR operations, systems, and the full employee lifecycle.
