Hydras are working on behalf of a large corporate organisation hiring several Contract Endur specialists to join their team. The Endur Technical Architect is required to help design and innovate the next generation of Gas and Power trading platforms.

The Architect role requires a true Endur specialist with a strong background in Gas and/or Power
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and documentation of bespoke, state-of-the-art energy trading systems
- Conduct requirement gathering and analysis across functional, technical, operational, and non-functional domains
- Act as a hands-on advisor, guiding delivery and solution design reviews
- Manage business change initiatives and maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, product owners, designers, technical leads, and fellow architects to define and deliver forward-thinking platform architectures
- Ensure accurate information exchange across multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and consulting partners
Key Skills/Experience:
- Demonstrable experience with physical energy trading (preferably Gas and/or Power), including contract complexity, portfolio optimization, and options modelling
- Proven ability to design and implement enterprise architectures for trading environments
- Expertise in data modelling, real-time analytics, distributed caching, and both vendor and custom reporting tools
- Hands-on development and architecture skills across key technologies: AWS, C#/Java, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, React, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Integration expertise, real-time messaging (AMQ), APIs (JSON, Swagger), batch processing
- Familiarity with DevOps (CI/CD, Ansible, GIT), cloud infrastructure, and cost-effective, technical solutions
- Agile mindset to tackle changing requirements and delivery
- Comfortable working autonomously or as part of a small, agile team
- A degree in Maths, Engineering, Computer Science) is desirable.
