The Energy Originator role is based in Metlen’s M Renewables Division in the UK and presents a unique opportunity for an analytically sharp, commercially minded professional to play a critical role in corporate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) origination. This role involves working within a skilled corporate team focused on driving PPA deals across the UK, Ireland, and Germany, with a strong emphasis on photovoltaic and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track and analyze market trends related to corporate PPAs in the UK, Ireland, and Germany, including competitor activities, pricing strategies, and product structures.

• Support origination activities by promoting new renewable energy products, focusing on photovoltaic and BESS technologies.

• Assist in preparing proposals, tender documentation, and client presentations for corporate PPA opportunities.

• Contribute to scenario modelling and financial analysis to support existing and new project pipelines across Europe.

• Help develop and manage customer care initiatives aligned with Metlen’s strategic goals within the origination team.

• Prepare internal reports, market updates, and presentation materials for senior management to aid decision-making.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 2 years of professional experience in energy trading, renewable energy markets, or PPA origination, ideally within UK or European markets.

• Strong analytical and commercial skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.

• Highly organized with excellent multitasking abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, macros) and PowerPoint.

• Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong advantage.
