Description:
HUBER+SUHNER Polatis is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead optical circuit switch product development from concept to manufacturing. Reporting to the Programme Manager, this role will work across multi-disciplinary engineering teams, managing project scope, schedules, costs, and stakeholder coordination. The ideal candidate will have software development, test automation, and DevOps expertise within an engineering-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
📌 Project Planning & Execution:
- Define project scope, organization, work breakdown structure, and deliverables.
- Utilize gated PEP processes for structured project management.
- Apply Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and host ceremonies to drive efficiency.
📊 Monitoring & Control:
- Track KPIs for scope, schedule, and cost to ensure project alignment.
- Use Jira & Microsoft tools for project management and reporting.
- Forecast and manage project finances, working closely with finance partners.
🤝 Stakeholder & Team Coordination:
- Ensure smooth collaboration between technical & non-technical teams across locations.
- Proactively resolve challenges, hold teams accountable, and manage dependencies.
- Communicate project risks, changes, and estimated completion timelines effectively.
⚙️ Continuous Improvement & Risk Management:
- Identify, monitor, and manage project risks & opportunities.
- Improve project efficiency through continuous feedback loops.
- Work with the Programme Manager to develop best project management practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
✅ Experience:
- 5+ years in project management, handling multiple complex projects.
- Managing multi-disciplinary teams in a customer-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Software development on electronic platforms, with knowledge of SDLC, tools, and methodologies.
✅ Technical & Management Skills:
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and engineering environments.
- Expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and project tracking using Jira & Microsoft tools.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting project costs (people & materials).
- Ability to work in Cambridge office as required.
