Description:

Oxford Outcomes is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join Park School, an independent specialist day school in Chipping Norton that supports boys and girls aged 7 to 18 with social, emotional, and mental health needs. This is a permanent full-time position starting in October 2025, offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on students who often arrive with a troubled view of education and life.

This role goes beyond classroom teaching; the appointed English Teacher will also contribute to the strategic leadership and development of the English curriculum, playing a pivotal role in raising attainment, driving continuous improvement, and mentoring colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, balanced, and differentiated English lessons aligned with the school’s vision and policies.

  • Provide subject leadership for English, ensuring effective curriculum development and innovation.

  • Foster a challenging yet supportive learning environment to raise student achievement.

  • Monitor and track student academic progress and personal growth.

  • Support colleagues through sharing best practices and professional development.

  • Actively contribute as a member of the wider curriculum team, ensuring collaboration and consistent teaching standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.

  • Strong subject knowledge in English and a genuine passion for teaching.

  • Demonstrated ability to inspire students and raise attainment.

  • Previous leadership or curriculum development experience is desirable but not essential.
