Enterprise Account Executive

 

Description:

Contentful, a leading digital experience platform powering personalized, AI-driven content solutions for global organizations, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive (German-speaking) to join its team in London, covering the DACH region. This role is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented sales professional who can drive net-new business while expanding existing accounts in a consultative, value-based sales environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing, while developing long-term relationships with key decision-makers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Customer Experience, Partnerships, Marketing, BDRs, and Solution Engineers to deliver tailored solutions that address clients’ digital experience challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales and expansion in the DACH region through consultative, value-based selling

  • Prospect, identify, and qualify leads in collaboration with BDRs and marketing teams

  • Position, negotiate, and close high-value expansion opportunities with existing and new enterprise customers

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans and pipelines, ensuring quarterly and annual revenue targets are met

  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers and serve as a trusted advisor

  • Manage RFI/RFQ processes in collaboration with customer and internal stakeholders

  • Refine and evolve Contentful’s "land-and-expand" sales model

  • Deliver impactful presentations, proposals, and deal negotiations with complex pricing structures

  • Work with Solution Engineers to identify and resolve technical challenges for clients

Candidate Profile:

  • Skilled at selling SaaS and PaaS solutions to enterprise clients

  • Experienced in managing sales opportunities with Fortune 1000 companies

  • Strong consultative selling ability, able to engage both technical and business leaders

  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced tech environment

  • Strategic thinker with strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills

  • Fluency in German is essential; additional European languages are a plus
