Enterprise Integration Architect

Description:

DXC Technology, through its joint venture Velonetic, is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Integration Architect to join its transformation initiative in the London insurance market. Velonetic, a collaboration between DXC Technology, the International Underwriting Association (IUA), and Lloyd’s of London, processes over £101 billion worth of premium and claims transactions. The Enterprise Integration Architect will play a critical role in building a new digital platform and services that enable faster, more efficient processing, driving innovation and higher-value activities.

The role focuses on designing and implementing integration strategies across enterprise systems, ensuring seamless, secure, and efficient workflows while aligning with business objectives and architectural principles. The architect will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, third-party partners, and standards organizations, to establish integration governance frameworks, design patterns, and API strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Integration Strategy & Design

• Define and manage an enterprise-wide integration strategy aligned with business objectives.

• Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, requirements, and scenarios to produce high-quality integration designs.

• Customize and extend industry-standard integration frameworks to suit the business domain.

• Define and document the integration value chain, key integration points, and dependencies.

Collaboration & Implementation

• Work with internal and external development teams to drive integration architecture, API contract design, and system integration.

• Analyze existing system behavior and integration patterns to ensure seamless integration and system optimization.

• Design data flows and integration patterns to enable real-time analytics, business intelligence, and reporting.

• Collaborate with security architects to define integration security protocols and ensure compliance.

Governance & Standards

• Define and manage an integration governance framework.

• Collaborate with external standards bodies and internal architecture teams to maintain compliance and integration best practices.

• Plan integration migrations, including bulk and gradual transition approaches.

Technical Leadership

• Lead architectural design for microservices, workflow management, and legacy system integrations.

• Implement integration strategies to support large-volume datasets and advanced analytics initiatives.

• Provide guidance on integration security policies, regulatory compliance, and governance processes.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in defining integration designs and securing stakeholder approvals.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, including with senior executives, third-party partners, and standards organizations.

• Expertise with industry-standard integration frameworks, mapping logical to physical integration.

• Experience in insurance domain, particularly commercial insurance integration patterns and standards.

• Familiarity with microservices, workflow management systems, legacy system integration, and large-scale transformation projects.

• Knowledge of TOGAF framework and governance processes for enterprise architecture.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
