Environmental Manager

Description:

To grow our team in the UK, we are looking for an Environmental Manager to join us. Working on sustainability and environmental issues, you’ll liaise with project teams and customers to establish, implement and monitor environmental aspects of our projects.

Your key responsibilities will be:
 

• Managing, promoting and improving the environmental aspects of the Integrated Management System, including our certified approach to Carbon Management in line with PAS2080
• Identifying opportunities to enhance our environmental impact and monitoring and sharing best practice
• Undertake and support audits and inspections, provide support and guidance, and give advice on Environmental Management
• Support the work winning teams in developing high quality tailored environment and sustainability bid responses
• Establishing reporting metrics to capture impact of our environmental initiatives

On top of that, you’ll have:
 

• A strong understanding and knowledge of environmental issues and experience of implementing an environmental management system
• Experience working on infrastructure projects or in another consultancy environment would be preferable
• A passion to enhance environmental impact through business operations and infrastructure projects
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
• Ability to build strong professional relationships and to persuade and influence stakeholders
• Experience of environmental contributions to bids, tender and pre-contract management would be beneficial
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
• Membership of a relevant professional organisation (e.g. IEMA)
