The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is seeking a skilled and motivated Epidemiologist to join its Scientific Data & Insight Function within the Safety & Surveillance Group. This is a permanent, full-time role based in London with flexible hybrid working. The Epidemiologist will be responsible for providing scientific input into safety assessments, regulatory submissions, and observational studies. • Designing and conducting epidemiological studies to provide evidence for regulatory decision-making.

  • Managing regulatory assessments, reports, and projects independently while meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary internal teams, including Patient Safety Monitoring and Benefit Risk Evaluation, to ensure evidence-based regulatory actions.

  • Preparing reports and presentations for expert committees and contributing to training and knowledge sharing across the organisation.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess strong statistical and analytical skills, with proven experience in observational studies, safety evaluation, and public health research. They should demonstrate a deep understanding of data sources, regulatory frameworks, and methodological considerations in epidemiology.
