Portwest are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated ERP & IT Project Manager to help deliver technology and business transformation projects across our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in project coordination or ERP support who’s ready to take the next step into managing end-to-end projects with guidance and mentorship from experienced colleagues.
You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party suppliers to help deliver ERP and IT initiatives that improve our operations and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of ERP and IT projects, ensuring objectives, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.
- Assist in defining project scope, requirements, and success criteria with business stakeholders.
- Help prepare project documentation, including project charters, schedules, and status reports.
- Coordinate communication between business users, test teams, and technical teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Track and report on project progress, risks, and issues, escalating as needed.
- Support governance activities, including meeting coordination, minutes, and action tracking.
- Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement within the IT Project Management Office (PMO).
- Participate in testing and change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in IT project coordination, ERP support, or a related role.
- Understanding of ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, IFS, or Infor M3 (experience with Infor M3 is a strong plus).
- Exposure to business process areas such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Finance.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or MS Project).
- Eagerness to learn formal project management methodologies and progress toward certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile).
- A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
