Description:

Deutsche Bank is seeking a European Credit Structurer - Infrastructure and Energy to join its London office. This role is part of the cross-product structuring team working alongside the Global Credit Financing & Solutions (GCFS) business. The team comprises specialists from diverse professional backgrounds who collaborate with traders to execute complex, structured transactions.

The European Credit Structurer will work closely with GCFS business units including Transportation, Infrastructure & Energy, Direct Lending, Asset-Backed Securities, and Credit Solutions. Responsibilities span the full deal lifecycle, from origination and structuring to execution of non-standard financing transactions. The role demands the development of broad financing expertise and deep sector knowledge to become a well-rounded credit structurer over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse complex deal structures from legal, tax, and regulatory perspectives

  • Draft, negotiate, and finalise high-level terms, termsheets, commitment, and mandate letters

  • Support deal execution by liaising with clients and external advisors to ensure smooth transaction processes

  • Coordinate internal approvals and manage deal Q&A with internal stakeholders

  • Identify and develop solutions to mitigate risks at deal or industry level

Skills and Experience Required:

  • English law-qualified lawyer or equivalent qualification/work experience with commercial acumen

  • Proven experience in structuring and executing financing transactions, especially Infrastructure/Project Financing

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, high initiative, proactivity, and drive

  • Effective organisational skills to manage multiple client projects simultaneously

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to convey ideas effectively
